How to install Warcraft III 1.26a

Spectre works with Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne version 1.26a (1.26.0.6401). Reforged and versions 1.29 and newer won't do.

1. Download the game

   Ready-to-play 1.26a, no Battle.net, about 830 MB. The new launcher can also download it for you.

2. Unpack the archive

   Into a folder of its own. It should hold war3.exe (or Frozen Throne.exe) and Game.dll.

3. Choose the folder in the launcher

   Settings → Game: find the Warcraft III folder and save.

4. Hit “Play”

   The launcher checks the folder and tells you if something is wrong with it.
